LO PEQUEÑO

A piece moves between the musical and the suspense and speaks to the inner child in each viewer. It has the essence of improvised games of our childhoods when we still don’t know the reality of life and have to invent it. This is what this work talks about, but also talks about how you can create daily choreographies while opening the front door of your apartment, it talks about how a large family could compose an already made up pop song or what the creative process of that specific song could be. In this performance, the older audiences experience these familiar things for the first time and the younger ones enjoy them and recognize them as their own.

Lo pequeño is a collaboration with the spanish artist and performance maker Cris Blanco. The three of us create a place on stage in which the everyday life is sublimated, a space of known strangeness that explode in funny situations, “seeing particles fly in the air”, as Oriol Puig said and an act of political creation for all audiences where performers play consciusly without fear of ridicule. Because we have come here to play.
